working, working...

working hard these days!  new work for a solo show happening in june at akasha gallery, here in toronto.  the theme: fairytales.  also getting work done for the toronto outdoor art exhibition, although i won't find out if i'm accepted in this year until april.  but by then i won't have much time left to do work for the show, so i'm hoping and working away!

new 'adventures'

i have been making jewlery for a while now but have never tried selling it....  so i've made some new pieces and have decided to see if they sell on etsy.  this is one of several pieces on the theme of 'chinese beauties'.  i really love it and haven't decided whether to keep this one for myself or to sell it!

started working on some new things for etsy. jewlery and brooches.....this one is made with a transfer, felt, beads and fabric.   all my artwork is moving to my big cartel store.

new lamp

i just finished this papier mache lamp for our dinning room. it is made using an ikea lamp as a 'base' and then buiding a metal armature around it and lastly covering it in rice paper. i still have to change the cord to a white one....

just a glimpse of a piece i'm working on.... i'm trying some 'new' techniques: pencil crayon, stenciling etc.

i'm enjoying this new direction!
